There are two different groups called One Direction on the Billboard charts this week!
While the British group is in 5th place in the Billboard Top 200 with Up All Night, the band from California with the same name, is in 48th place in the Albums on the Billboard Heatseeker charts with the album The Light.
The album of the Californian was launched in August 2011 and has increased salesevery week since February. Total sales are now accumulated in 6mil copies.
"We may not have Simon Cowell industry behind us, but we have many hardworkingand loyal fans," said the other One Direction. "And we are grateful to them for their support."
According to the Californian Facebook group, named "One Direction" is a legal disputein court between the two bands, where the group of California says he is using the mark since November 2009 (one year before the British band to form in X Factor).
In a recent interview for the Herald Sun in Australia, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles said that will not change the band name, and said not to have any idea what is happening.
